U19

Chicopee's U19 program is designed for Never-Ever and Beginner skiers/snowboarders. Our certified instructors will work on basic skill building and technique, while allowing participants to be more involved in the decision-making process of where the group rides. Participants are encouraged to take ownership of what they are looking to learn by setting goals and sharing these with their instructor. Never-Ever skiers and snowboarders may enjoy lower student to instructor ratios to help them progress faster. Students will be grouped based on the previous season's Final Assessment and/or declared ability at time of registration.

Intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders are encouraged to join the IIT Program, Chicopee Volunteer Team, or register for one of our Specialty Programs. Advanced riders are encouraged to look into getting a Level 1 Instructor Certification and attend the Job Fair.

Your Program Lesson Tag acts as a valid All Access lift ticket on the day of your lesson (open to close).

NOTE: All Sales are Final. If Chicopee cancels your weekly lesson, you will be notified, and the lesson program will be extended by one (1) week at the same day and time. [Week of MAR 10 to 16, 2025].

If Chicopee cannot deliver your 9-week lesson program within the allocated 10 weeks (more than one cancellation), you will be notified, and the lesson will be credited (prorated value) to your account. This credit may be used for any Chicopee purchase.

Skill Levels:

Never-Ever: You have never been on skis/a snowboard before, or you tried it once many years ago. You are unable to stop unassisted.

Beginner: You have skied/snowboarded a few times and can maintain control in the beginner area. You can stop and turn in both directions with some success.

Intermediate: You have skied/snowboarded many times and have experience on a variety of hills. You are comfortable on “blue square” terrain.

Advanced: You are experienced and competent on skis/a snowboard. You have taken lessons before, know and understand the Alpine Responsibility Code and can demonstrate skills at an advanced level.
