Winter Programs 2021 / 2022: 9-Week Programs

The U16/U19 SOD Cup program continues refining overall skiing and racing skills along with performance on demand, (Alpine Canada Long Term Skier Development Plan – Phases of Skier Essentials, Train to Train progressing to Train to Race). This age group will participate in 4-5 races scheduled by Alpine Ontario, all located in the Collingwood area.

Skiers entering the U16/U19 program must be one of the following:

- Graduates of the U14 or U16 program,

- Have successfully completed Advanced Level 1 or 2 (A1 or A2) in a Chicopee Snow School program,

- Exceptional dynamic parallel skiers, and are confident on a variety of terrain and snow conditions. They should also be comfortable skiing with speed.

Program participants must be a Chicopee Member for the 2021/2022 season. All racers must wear a hard-earned helmet with a FIS label affixed at the back of the helmet. Equipment strongly recommended for racers includes slalom and giant slalom event specific skis, back protectors for speed races, slalom gear for clearing gates.

U16/U19 SOD Cup athletes are required to register online at to participate in league racing and additional camps and events offered by Alpine Ontario.

Dryland Training Program: October 3 to November 28, 2021. No Dryland on October 10 (Thanksgiving). Dryland runs 10:00am to 12:00pm.

Note: This fitness program is for U10 - U19 racers only.

Program Ability Level:

The student is an experienced and competent skier. He/she has received formal instruction, knows and understands the Alpine Responsibility Code and can demonstrate ability at an advanced level.

Note: Program runs Thursday, January 6th – Sunday, March 6th, 2022.
