Winter Programs 2021 / 2022: 9-Week Programs

The U10 Entry Level program introduces racing skills through the ‘FUNdamentals’ of skiing. Along with the Snow Stars program, we focus on the development of overall skiing skills and introduction of racing skills using a variety of terrain and learning environments, (Alpine Canada Long Term Skier Development Plan – Phases of Skier Essentials).

Skiers entering the U10 program must be one of the following:

- Graduates of the U8 program.

- Have successfully completed Intermediate Level 3 (I3) in a Chicopee Snow School program,

- Exceptional recreational skiers that can independently ski all runs at Chicopee, ski mostly parallel, and are comfortable skiing on a variety of terrain and snow conditions. They should also be comfortable skiing with some speed and can ride any lift at Chicopee with confidence, unassisted.

Program participants must be a Chicopee Member for the 2021/2022 season and are required to wear a hard-eared helmet.

Note: U10 athletes that would like to participate in any Alpine Ontario (AOA) sanctioned races or camps must register through their online system at This includes the U10 travel fee and online waiver.

Registration isn’t mandatory for Chicopee program participation.

Dryland Training Program: October 3 to November 28, 2021. No Dryland on October 10 (Thanksgiving). Dryland runs 10:00am to 12:00pm.

Note: This fitness program is for U10 - U19 racers only.

Program Ability Level:

The student is an experienced and competent skier. He/she has received formal instruction, knows and understands the Alpine Responsibility Code and can demonstrate ability at an advanced level.

Note: Program runs Tuesday, January 4th, 2022 – Saturday, March 5th, 2022.
