Discover Skiing or Snowboarding (Group Lesson)

Weekends and Holidays Hourly between 9am & 3pm. // Wednesday & Friday Evenings starting at 7pm.

In order to provide you with the optimum learning experience we have modified our weekend Discover Programs; the easiest & most affordable way to get into the sport. This season the lessons will begin each hour between 9 am and 3 pm. Join in the next lesson after you have been fitted with your included equipment from the Rental Shop. Lessons will begin by the bottom of the Tenderfoot chair lift (out the rental door to the left). Package includes Group Beginner Lesson, Full Day Equipment Rental, a Full Day Beginner Centre lift ticket and a $5 voucher for the Chicopee cafeteria or the Silvertip Lounge (minimum purchase of $7.50 required). This program is limited to participants ages 7 & up. (For children under the age of 7 please try our Discover Private Lesson Program.) No pre-registration is required for the group program.

Please allow a minimum of 1 hour to register and be fitted for rental equipment. Please note regular rental stipulations apply.

Discover Plus (Private Lesson)

Have you completed the Discover Ski or Snowboard Program and are looking for the next step in your progression? The Discover Plus program includes your full day equipment rental, full day all mountain lift ticket, one hour private lesson tailored to your ability level and a $5 voucher for the Chicopee cafeteria or the Silvertip Lounge*.

Cost: $89*

All standard private lesson booking policies apply. * (Minimum purchase of $7.50 required).

After you've taken a Discover Program; if you become a member, we will take $50 off the price of your membership.

Chicopee Pre-Club Ski Program (Ages 3 - 5)

Chicopee Ski Cubs (Ages 4 - 6)

Chicopee Snowboard Cubs (Ages 4 - 6)

Chicopee Bruins Park Ski & Snowboard (Ages 7 - 14)

For Bruins interested in learning or improving terrain park skills. No prior Park experience necessary. Must be able to ride black diamond terrain. Maximum 10 per group. Helmets must be worn at all times

Skier / Snowboarder Bruins Full-Day (Ages 7 - 14)

Start Date: Saturday January 9th
Time: 10:00am - 4:00pm

Full Day Supervised Program with emphasis on developing skills including other activities to balance the day. All Ability Levels. Maximum 10 skiers / 8 snowboarders per group. Please provide your own lunch. Progress measured through CSIA or CASI National program evaluation.

Teen Ski or Snowboard Programs (Ages 13 - 17)

Come ski or board with kids your own age and improve your skiing or riding skills in a fun, fast paced atmosphere! All Ability Levels. Maximum 10 per group. Progress measured through CSIA or CASI National program evaluation.

Teen Park Program - Ski or Snowboard (Ages 13 - 17)

Start Date: Friday January 15th
Time:7:00pm - 8:30pm

For teens interested in learning and improving Terrain Park skills. No prior Park experience required. Must be able to ski or ride black diamond terrain.. Maximum 10 per group. Helmets must be worn at all sessions.

Freestyle Freedom (Ages 7 - 17)

Start Date: Tuesday January 12th
Time:7:00pm - 8:30pm

3+ Hours each week. Practice Tuesdays and practice or competition Thursdays/

Fees include entry in the Chill Freestyle Series every Thursday beginning January 21st. Take your skills to the next level. Some park experience is a pre-requisite but you don’t need to be an expert. Maximum 10 per group. Ski & snowboard groups are available. This is your opportunity to show your stuff in the rails, jumps and slopestyle competitions. Your coach is a certified Park instructor and will help plan the best combination of tricks for competition. Weekly prizes available on Chill Series nights. Helmets must be worn at all sessions. Non-member rate includes lift passes for Tuesday & Thursday evenings.

Chicopee Snow School Apprenticeship Program

Start Date: 8 week training starts Wednesday January 13th
Time:7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

This program is for individuals interested in becoming instructors in the future. It can be taken in conjunction with CASI/CSIA Level 1 Prep Course and/or part of the high school community service/volunteer requirements. It includes the opportunity to train/session with the Snow School.

Requirements

-must make a reasonable commitment to volunteer during Snow School programs
-a passion for sharing your love of the sport
-minimum 14 years of age

Additional information will be available at the Apprenticeship Orientation Meeting Saturday November 7th 10 am – 12 pm. A limited number of candidates will be selected for this program.

Preparation for anyone interested in attending the CSIA or CASI Level 1 Certification Course. All Clinics are lead by Certified Level 1 Course Conductors. CSIA/CASI Level 1 Course Schedules are available from the Snow School or online. Please note: Good parallel skiing skills or good carved heel & toe turns required. Ages 14 and up only.

Private Ski & Snowboard Lessons

One-on-one just you & an instructor with a lesson tailored to your needs and ability…prep for your ski vacation out west or maybe you want to improve in the moguls or terrain park, we have instructors capable of advancing your skills regardless of your current ability level.

Please note: All lesson participants (including Tots) must have a valid lift ticket, membership or pass. (* Non-member rates include lift ticket. **6 & Under non-members rates include a Tot lift ticket.) Lesson participants requiring rental equipment will receive a discounted $20 rate (regardless of length of time.) To avoid disappointment all private lessons should be booked in advance. A credit card number is required as a deposit for the booking. Cancelled lessons will be accepted up to 24 hours in advance with full credit to another time slot. Cancelled or missed appointments with less than 24 hours notice will incur a $25 administration fee.

Waterloo Region Track 3 Ski School

The Waterloo Region Track 3 Ski School was established in 1990. Their goal is to provide children & youth with disabilities the opportunity to learn the basics of downhill skiing. At Track 3 the focus is on ability, not disability. As a charitable organization, this program requires a good number of volunteers to run; your continued support is appreciated.
