8-Week Programs
Adult Skiing / Snowboarding (Ages 18+)
The 8-week program allows for new skills to be perfected as there is plenty of time to practice under the watchful eye of your instructor. Are you taking a trip, having difficulty with certain snow conditions or brand new to the sport? This is the program for you.
Program Includes: Eight (8) Consecutive Weekly Sessions
1.5 Hours Each Week
Starting: Saturday January 7th or Sunday January 8th
Ski: 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. // Snowboard: Noon - 1:30 p.m.
Starting: Monday January 9th
1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Starting: Tuesday January 10th
7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Starting: Thursday January 12th (Ladies Only)
7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Track 3 Graduates
Starting: Monday January 9th

The program is for adults who have graduated from the Track 3 Program.

Chill Freestyle Series (All Ages)
The 2012 Chill Freestyle Series is the place to be seen. This series is a local park competition open to boarders & skiers of all abilities. Never been in a park comp before no problem this is the chance for you to try. It is recommended that you have experience in the park but previous competition experience is not required.
Events take place Thursdays. January 19, January 26, February 2, February 9, February 16, February 23. Finals are held Saturday March 10.

Note: Helmets are mandatory for competition. Registration closes at 6pm night of the event.
Level 1 Prep Course Ski & Snowboard (Ages 14+)
Starting: Wednesday January 11th
7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Preparation for anyone interested in attending the CSIA (Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance) or CASI (Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors) Level 1 Certification course. All clinics are lead by Certified Level1 Course Conductors. Please note good parallel skiing skills or good carved heel and toe turns are required. Prep course does not include certification course.

Snow School Apprenticeship Program
Are you looking for a great volunteer opportunity that includes your love of skiing or snowboarding and the ability to gain High School community service/volunteer hours? Do you have the desire to be an instructor someday? There will be opportunities for successful candidates to train/ session with the Snow School.
Participants in this program will work with certified instructors and assist with the children’s lesson programs. We are looking for individuals that enjoy working with kids and have a desire to learn more about the world of instructing skiing or boarding.
Requirements Include:
- Submit a Volunteer Application (available at http://www.discoverchicopee.com) to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) by December 10, 2011 noting your interest in the Snow School Apprentice Program.
- When the application is received information will be sent out on Skills Testing Days and Training Days
- Purchase a full Chicopee Membership: membership fees will be refunded after 40 hours of volunteer work (great way to earn your membership).
- Must make a reasonable commitment to assist with the Snow School programs that include evenings, weekends, Christmas &/or March Break
- You will be required to assist the younger skiers & boarders on the chairlifts & other duties as required. You will not be responsible for students on your own.
- Minimum of 14 years of age due to insurance requirements
- Helmet required.
- A passion for sharing the love of the sport
A limited number of candidates will be selected for the program. Applications will be accepted after the deadline but will not be part of the initial round of selections.
4-Week Programs
Adult Skiing / Snowboarding (Ages 18+)
Starting: Saturday January 28th or Sunday January 29th
Skiing: 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. // Snowboarding: 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Parent & Tot Skiing (Tot Ages 3 - 5, Parents any age)
Starting: Thursday February 9th or Friday February 10th
1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
This program is designed to help parents ski with their child. The parent must be a proficient skier able to ski on Blue terrain. The Pro’s will assist you with the best way to help your child learn skiing skills, ride lifts and make it an enjoyable experience for everyone.
