Chicopee Ski Club is Planning to Fire Up the Snow Guns!

Kitchener, December 2nd, 2010 – Chicopee Ski Club is happy to announce that it is ready to start making snow for the 2010-2011 winter season!  The Operations staff has confirmed that the weather forecast is looking favourable to fire up its snow making equipment in the early morning hours of December 3rd, 2010.
 
By rule of thumb, Chicopee requires a minimum of -4 degrees to fire up the guns over a period of a few days.  With the current forecast, it looks like snow will be falling at the Ski Club this weekend!
We invite the media to come out and witness the start up of guns on Friday morning, December 3rd and inform the Waterloo Region that we are gearing up for another great season of skiing, snowboarding and a variety of other winter activities.

Please note that because snowmaking is highly dependent upon the weather, we encourage you to call Chicopee first thing on Friday morning to confirm conditions.  For this purpose, please contact Kate Reid – Supervisor of Guest Services at (519) 894-5610 and press 0 to speak to a representative.
